Check valves

The vacuum check valves work with venturi vacuum pumps and switches to seal and maintain safety levels. Once the vacuum pump reaches the required vacuum level, the switch shuts the pump off while the check valve maintains the vacuum. If the vacuum pump drops below the pre-set level, the pump automatically restarts. Check valves may be used in clamping operations and to hold the vacuum while molds cool down.

Cavity pumps

L-Frame progressing cavity pumps handle entrained air and gases without vapor locking. Standard flange models feature modular design with a pin-type universal joint assembly. The open throat series has an unobstructed suction hopper and auger-feed assembly for pumping viscous and solids-laden fluids. The "Bridge-Breaker" pumps handle semi-dry, caked material and solids in suspension up to 1 inch in diameter. The pumps can handle capacities up to 450 gpm, pressures up to 2,100 psi, and viscosities over 1,000,000 cps.

Control valve

Class DOT 3-way control valve has a one-piece body that eliminates the tailpiece and the extra gasket joint associated with 3-way valves. Spring-loaded Teflon chevron stem packing removes the need for periodic adjustment. The control valves are available with cast-iron or bronze bodies in 1- to 3-inch sizes and with threaded or flanged end connections. The Class DOT is suitable for both converging and diverging liquid flow service.

Pump head

The Series M800 diaphragm pump head reaches pressures up to 11,600 psi using a PTFE sandwich diaphragm and can handle granular suspensions, salt solutions, and viscous fluids up to 100,000 cps. M800 incorporates a hydraulic drive with a packless sealing plunger design and can operate continuously up to 20,000 hours. Applications include hermetic containment and processing of harmful fluids.

Pressure regulators

Pressure regulators featuring all-Teflon wetted parts are designed for the pure processing needs of the semiconductor industry. The pressure regulators feature a convoluted Teflon diaphragm to sense and control downstream pressure in a piping system. The regulators handle inlet pressures up to 120 psi, while downstream pressure can be set from 5 to 100 psi. Piping connections are offered in flare, spigot, socket, or threaded.

Safety valves

Figure 15LC safety valves reportedly provide tight shutoff, sharp popping and closing action, as well as good repeatability. Using a threaded 2-inch aluminum body, the valves handle pressure ranging from 5 to 15 psi and temperatures up to 250F. The integral inlet and body casting of the valves align the seating surfaces. Figure 15LC safety valves are suitable for hauling railroad and truck tank cars.

The gear pumps range from 2,800 to 4,600 psi, while the piston pumps produce up to 5,000 psi. These pumps are bi-rotational in design and available in both DIN and SAE shaft configurations. SAE and metric hose connections are also available. The gear pumps are offered from 300 to 3,000 rpm and the piston pumps run up to 1,500 rpm.

Buttefly valves

The butterfly valves are available in two-way and three-way versions and use rotary solenoids and dc brushless motors to provide isolation and throttling actuation. Valves come in either two-position (on/off) operation or with a system that modulates in response to a flow control signal. A control system and 28V dc is required. Butterfly valves are suitable for aerospace, medical, and fuel cell applications.
