To say he’s an icon in the worlds of engineering, design, and manufacturing is an understatement. But how else does one summarize someone who helped shape the computing industry with his design of Apple’s first line of products, the Apple I and II, not to mention co-founded the groundbreaking company, and who went on to create a career and life that spans innovations and honors including receiving the National Medal of Technology; founding the first programmable universal remote control company, CL 9; founding a wireless hardware location finder company, Wheels of Zeus; and who has given generously of his time and resources to not-for-profits, including teaching computer classes in local elementary schools.
UBM’s Advanced Design & Manufacturing Event in New York on June 13, will feature a conversation with icon Steve Wozniak, aka “Woz,” Apple co-founder, lifelong innovator and current chief scientist at Primary Data.
At noon local time, Woz will take the stage and chat about his experience at Apple, as well as today’s leading tech trends such as robotics, IoT, wearables, and Big Data, among others.
“I am really looking forward to speaking at UBM’s annual Advanced Design and Manufacturing event in New York,” Wozniak said. “This seems to be the conference when it comes to innovation and design within the manufacturing field. During my session on June 13th, I look forward to offering insight into emerging trends in technology and how those may impact design and manufacturing.”
