Macro Sensors Releases HSI/R 750 Series

Macro Sensors released its hermetically sealed position transmitters, the HSI and HSIR 750 series, available with blind bore or through bore with a radial connector. The sensors can determine relative positioning differentials and use the standard of 4-20mA current loop and range from .10-inch to 20-inch, in ¾-inch diameter.

According to the company, these LVDTs (linear variable differential transformers) feature a contactless, frictionless construction, are robust and are easy to clean. The design can be configured for loop-powered two-wire or externally powered three-wire sourcing outputs depending on input/output requirements, and can transmit an output signal over long distances.

The housing of the sensors is all welded stainless steel and has a hazardous location approval from UL and an IEC rating of IP68, meaning the housing is dust tight and can be indefinitely submerged over a meter in depth. Applications included valve position sensing, measuring tank positions and determining movement in infrastructure.

Macro Sensors' HSI and HSIR 750 series of hermetically sealed position transmitters are available with blind bore or through bore with a radial connector.
