AM Solutions–3D post processing technology, a brand of the Rösler Group, will join the ColdMetalFusion Alliance. The alliance is a consortium of companies with decades of experience in the fields of sintering, 3D printing, and classical industrial manufacturing. ColdMetalFusion’s vision is the introduction of common standards for sintering and additive manufacturing (AM).

Alliance members provide services, equipment, material, software, and know-how to customers in the metal manufacturing industry. AM Solutions hopes that joining the Alliance will be a tipping point that will accelerate ColdMetalFusion's vision.

“Through the use of its broad portfolio of finishing and post-processing technologies, AM Solutions—3D post processing technology will offer complete end-to-end support across the key process phases of ColdMetalFusion, and thus become a key enabler for digital manufacturing beyond the one-million parts threshold,” said Stephen Rösler, CEO of the Rösler Group, in a news release. “Our products not only guarantee significant productivity increases and cost savings, but they also provide the stability and process-robustness required for industrial manufacturing. We are industrialists by heritage, and as such share many values such as trust, reliability, and innovation with the other ColdMetalFusion Alliance members.”

AM Solutions is starting to develop its offering with ColdMetalFusion partners to achieve optimal removal of powder and cleaning of 3D printed green parts, according to the release. In addition, core competencies also include the removal of support structures as well as surface homogenization, smoothing, or polishing. Because of its technical capabilities, AM Solutions can support its customers throughout the product development lifecycle from conceptual design to production.

ColdMetalFusion Alliance members will demonstrate their mission of industrialization of sintering and AM at the Formnext exhibition in November in Frankfurt, Germany, in Hall 11.1, Booth D48. AM Solutions–3D post processing technology will also be at the exhibition to inform customers about its plans for equipment, process technologies, and consumables tailored for automated 3D post processing in Hall 12.0, Booth C81.
