Electrical engineering is one of the most popular engineering disciplines with a wide range of areas of study: power systems, microelectronics, communications and signal processing, embedded systems, control systems, and others. Most electrical and electronics engineering positions require at minimum a Bachelor of Science degree, but almost all major engineering colleges offer graduate degree programs as well, often up to a Doctorate’s degree.

College Factual, a college evaluation and rankings service, compiled the top college electrical engineering programs. The criteria listed includes the number of degrees awarded, highest degree available, and median starting salary, where available.

A list of the top 25-rated schools follows.
