Switch

F Series temperature switches have watertight, anodized-aluminum bodies; hermetically sealed, snap-acting switch elements; and a stainless steel vapor-pressure thermal system. Popular capillary and bulb lengths are available. The devices are field-adjustable, directly interchangeable with many similar older-style models, and UL-listed for use in Class 1, Division 1 Groups A, B, C, and D and Class II Groups E, F, and G hazardous locations.

Terminals

Two pc-board-mount screw terminals are manufactured in tin-plated 0.032 brass. The first is a low-profile, 15A device that offers a stable, no-rock design. The second is a heavy-duty, 30A screw terminal with six snap-in legs for stability and a serrated top surface to help secure connections. Both are available with a combination-drive 6-32 x 1/4 nickel-plated binding-head machine screw.

Socket block

T-shaped twin connections let the BLDZ 3.5 socket block provide separate connections for two conductors at a single contact point. The screw-clamp device mates with SL 3.5 standard headers, accepts 28 to 14 AWG wire, and has a UL rating of 300V, 10A.

Chip adapter

SSOP-to-SOWIC Correct-A-Chip(R)adapters let new SSOP devices attach to boards designed for SOWIC packages without requiring board rework or redesign. Users can hand or reflow solder the 0.65-mm-pitch SSOP package to the top of the 20-pin adapter. The resulting subassembly can then be pick-and-placed and reflow soldered to the pc board.

Vibration switch

The Model 330 switch monitors vibration in low- to medium-speed rotating machinery, such as heat exchanger fans and reciprocating compressors. An inertia-sensitive mechanism activates a snap-action switch with SPTDT output contacts if vibration exceeds an adjustable setpoint. SPDT contacts enable the switch to activate an alarm or initiate equipment shutdown.

CPU

A 850-MHz Pentium III processor powers the CP603 6U Compact PCI CPU. The board's 64-bit Compact PCI interface permits data-transfer rates as fast as 264 Mbytes/sec. Features include: up to 768 Mbytes SDRAM, high-definition AGP/VGA graphics controller with 4 Mbytes video RAM, two Fast Ethernet interfaces, one Ultrawide SCSI interface, rear I/O, hot-swap support, and low power consumption. Versions are available for both standard and extended operating ranges.

Connector gaskets

Designed to fit over IEEE 1394 right-angle, upright connectors, a line of EMI gaskets provides a low-impedance path from the connector shell to the faceplate. The beryllium copper gaskets solder to the pc board to provide grounding and reduce emissions, and are available in a variety of plating finishes.

Fuse

The blades of the CUBEFuse(TM)industrial power fuse have an extended insulating sleeve to prevent human contact with any energized component of the part during normal operation. Fuseholders snap onto a 35-mm DIN rail or mount directly to a panel's backplane. Wire terminals are rated for dual wire termination, and a 30A fuse may be inserted into the 60A fuseholder, eliminating the need for fuse reducers. The fuse, fuse base, and wire ports are all IP-20 "finger safe" and provide Class J electrical performance.

Precision balls

Available in precision grades up to Grade 10, this family of 99.99% alumina oxide ruby/sapphire balls suit such optical and light-refractive applications as lasers. The chemically inert balls feature high surface smoothness, are comparable in hardness to alumina ceramic, and are available in different colors.

Power supply

Occupying one cubic inch and weighing 1.5 oz, CA Series precision high-voltage supplies can mount directly on a pc board. An encapsulated steel case protects the supplies from the environment and provides EMI/RFI shielding. The series accepts 11.5 to 15.5V dc inputs (24V dc optional); 10 models provide 0 to 250 through 0 to 2,000V dc positive or negative outputs. Ripple is 2 ppm peak to peak, stability is 0.001% per hour, and the temperature coefficient is 25 ppm per degree C.
