Conductor cables

These shielded cables and assemblies, for tight bend radius, high-flex applications, are designed to protect data by keeping impedance, capacitance, and inductance constant while cables are in motion. The units offer 30 dB of shielding effectiveness at 300 MHz and are capable of 3 million flex cycles on a 15-mm bend radius. Available in unshielded versions for long travel lengths up to 1M. Unshielded versions offer 15 million flex cycles at 15-mm bend radii.

Palm-sized micro controller

The new VersaMax(TM) Micro PLC is available in two sizes and offers I/O counts of 14 and 28 points. The small size saves panel space and allows fast snap-on mounting to DIN rails or screw-mounting to panels. It is intended for users who need powerful control features, but do not need the high I/O counts of a standard PLC. With 9K words of memory, floating point math, a real-time clock, PID support, high-speed counter, and motion control, the controller offers capabilities on par with larger PLCs.

PMDC motors

"Turbo" design, NEMA frame, low-voltage, direct current motors are now achieving up to 8 hp at 15 minute intermittent duty in NEMA 48 frame barrel diameter. Thinner, longer permanent magnets allow increased armature size without additional barrel diameter. A four-brush design, used in larger horsepowers, reduces heating and provides longer brush life. Open drip proof, totally enclosed fan cooled, or totally enclosed non-ventilated frames are available.

Soft starter

By using 24V dc control power, the company's smallest IT Soft Starters use safer operating voltages, simplify compliance to safety standards, and have more reliable interfacing with PLC and distributed control logic systems. The new design uses microprocessors and separates the control and logic circuits to reduce the control power requirements of these devices. This allows users to overcome many obstacles that have prevented greater use of 24V dc control power, such as supply costs, transistor and hard contact ampere ratings, and voltage drop on long cable runs.
