16 Electronic Tech Trends From 2020

Trade wars and COVID-19 couldn’t stop the march of electronic technology but did change its direction and tempo.

Few expected 2020 to be a year of unprecedented challenges, but it was. The U.S. trade wars with China and other countries had already put a strain on the supply chain from the start of the year. But that disruption paled in comparison to the COVID-19 pandemic that would sweep across the world in early 2020.

No market was unscathed by the economic and health changes wrought upon the world’s population by COVID. But one industry stood out as not only a survivor but as a sustainer of the global economy in 2020 and that was the semiconductor industry.

This gallery will show some of the key ways that the semiconductor electronic market continued to deliver during the first year of the terrible pandemic.
