World's Smallest All-Metal Inductive Proximity Sensor

Rugged design ideal for harsh, space-restricted applications

Pepperl+Fuchs introduces the 8-mm series to its Pile Driver family of inductive sensors. Just 8 mm in diameter, these sensors are fully flush mountable, and are the most compact, all-metal inductive sensors available in the industry today. Tested to provide a life span 20 times that of conventional plastic-faced sensors, they come standard with a 100 percent stainless-steel housing, and are available with Black Armor weld-spatter-resistant coating and a number of cable options for long life in harsh environments. They provide repeatability better than 0.01 mm and hysteresis of 5 percent, and can effectively operate in temperatures ranging from -14 to +158C.
