Whether it’s the Cisco Foundation donating $100 million over ten years toward green initiatives or Coca-Cola creating give-back containers, countless little and big efforts are taking place to improve the environment and battle climate change.

Here’s just a small collection of these efforts to help celebrate Earth Day on its 51st anniversary.

Rob Spiegel has covered manufacturing for 19 years, 17 of them for Design News. Other topics he has covered include automation, supply chain technology, alternative energy, and cybersecurity. For 10 years, he was the owner and publisher of the food magazine Chile Pepper.
