BrainChip is the developer of a neuromorphic SoC called Akida that can be function as an integrated SoC and can also be integrated into ASIC devices. Neuromorphic computing takes its cues from the biology of the human brain and how it processes information. Proponents of the technology say neuromorphic computing results in chip architectures that are versatile (like a brain) and can function with low power on the edge. BrainChip is aiming its technology at computer vision, autonomous vehicle, IoT, and VR/AR applications.
