Apple’s Vision Pro headset won’t be available until next year, but it is already generating a lot of curiosity among potential buyers. Apple

When Apple’s upcoming Vision Pro headset was previewed in June, reaction from industry analysts was not exactly overhelming. While the headset’s technology was largely lauded, critics said the device, slated to retail for $3,500 initially, would be too expensive for most users.

Despite the initial skepticism, the name Apple has long carried a certain cachet. In fact, residents in some states are showing a lot of interest in the headset, according to research conducted by the site Casinoarabi.io, which is a site providing casino and betting information.

The survey by Casinoarabi.io analyzed the search volumes of terms concerning the product in June. It analyzed search terms like “Apple Vision Pro release date”, “Apple VR price”, and a vast range of related search terms. The data gathered indicates the states seemingly most interested in the Vision Pro headset and where consumers are most likely to invest in their own.

The Golden State is Most Curious

Perhaps not surprisingly, the state that has so far shown the most interest in Apple’s headset is California, the nation’s most populous state and home to Apple and many high-tech companies and workers. According to Casinoarabi.io, California residents searched for terms related to the headset at a rate of 1,636 per 100,000 residents. Searches of simply “Apple Vision Pro” exceeded 26,000 in the month, just over 67 per 100,000 Californians, the site said.

A look at the top 10 states showing interest in Apple’s Vision Pro further indicates that states with relatively high numbers of high-tech companies and/or residents tend to show the most interest in the futuristic headset. For instance, the state whose residents conducted the second highest percentage of searches related to the headset was Washington, home of Microsoft and Amazon.
