Bushings

PEL-T(TM)rolled-steel bushings feature a pattern of lubricant cavities, thermochemical surface treatment, and impregnation on all surfaces for good surface hardness and friction. De-signed for heavily loaded joints, the bushings withstand temperatures up to 482F and dynamic pressure to 200 N/mm2. Operating speed is 10 m/sec maximum.

Transport line

Designed for JIT cell-based manufacturing, the FlexiMate Transport Line consists of individual modular workstations that can be quickly reconfigured. Cells are constructed from anodized aluminum tubing and engineered glass-filled polycarbonate fittings, and support up to 150 lbs. Product flow is manual via track-mounted transport carts, which enables real-time manufacturing flow adjustment.

Stepper driver

The 2.5A CY-45 motor driver works with 2- and 4-phase step motors in full/half step mode. An on-board terminal strip supplies interfaces to the power supply (up to 45V dc), motor, and control signals. The module measures 3.25x2.125x1.15 inches and can mount vertically or horizontally.

Actuators

Miniature, ac, and dc clevis-to-clevis Performance Pak actuators have a 25% duty cycle. Miniature units feature corrosion-resistant aluminum tubes and built-in end-of-stroke limit switches. Models are available in 12 and 14V dc with capacities of 25 or 110 lbs, speeds of 0.61 to 2.0 inches/sec, and strokes of 2 to 10 inches. Industrial actuators have powder-coated exteriors and stainless-steel lift tubes for longer life. Ac and dc versions have strokes of 4 to 24 inches and capacities of 250 or 1,000 lbs.

Bearings

The outer race of Hevi-Rail bearings has the high radial capacity of a heavy-duty roller bearing. Within this outer bearing is a perpendicular inner bearing that handles axial or side loads. Bearings are available in fixed and adjustable eccentric versions. Sizes range from 52.5 to 149 mm OD; single bearing capacities range from 5,000 to 33,500 lbs.

Servo drive

The 5.09x3.48x0.99-inch BX15A20 PWM servo amplifier provides trape-zoidal commutation using Hall sensors. The drive operates in current or velocity mode, accepts 40 to 190V dc inputs, and is rated for 15A peak, 7.5A continuous output.

Rotary tables

Monoblock body construction lets Tsudakoma high-speed NC rotary tables accept up to four spindles and offer speeds up to 83 rpm. High-pressure hydraulics increase efficiency for long-run operations.

Drives

Users can program SPEEDMASTER SM Basic drives via buttons on the drive face or by using a removable electronic module. Designed for con-trolling smaller ac motors, the drives are available up to 3 hp and in versions for single- and three-phase input. Features include: forward/reverse, slip compensation for 1% speed regulation, and multiple speed presets.

Gear parts

Forged gear parts-including gear blanks, single and double hubs, couplings, flanges, rings, and shafts-are available for producing helical, spur, bevel, hypoid, and other gear products. Users can specify parts "as forged," rough machined, heat treated, and tested. A range of gear-quality alloys meets material specifications for through hardening, carburizing, H Band, AMS, MIL-S-5000, and AGMA.

Brushless motors

EC series brushless "pancake" motors are electronically commutated, which is said to provide extremely long motor life due to the absence of mechanical brushes. The design is also said to achieve good heat dissipation and high overload capability through the placement of coils outside the rotor. The weight of the motor is 57 g, continuous output power is a reported 6W, with a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM.
