Catch this Cool Connected Cobots Webinar

Design News is presenting a free webinar on connected robotics on Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00 pm EST. The webinar – The Connected Cobot: The Digital World of Collaborative Robots – will look at how robots are getting deployed in smart manufacturing systems. The robot is no longer locked in a cage or set aside to do one task over and over by itself. Robots are now embedded in digital systems.

Robot systems are changing quickly. Indeed, cobots are progressively envisioned as networked and digitized elements of broader intelligent operational systems that are capable of addressing a wider variety of flexible uses. Robots are going far beyond the traditional manufacturing production floor.

The Robot As Part of a Connected System

The webinar is presented by Remy Glaisner, research director at IDC. Glaisner is responsible for IDC’s Worldwide Robotics program. His core research focuses on technology shifts, organizational pressures, and market conditions caused by the digital transformation. Specifically, he delivers actionable intelligence to organizations as they transform businesses by adopting advanced robotics and intelligent operational systems.

Glaisner will look at the role and functions of stakeholders involved in cobot deployment. He will look at the new level of digitally-enabled cobot flexibility that helps drive innovation in manufacturing. Non-manufacturing material movement is close behind in this transformation. Regardless of the sector, best-in-class users have come to understand the importance of adding cobots to their digitized operation.

Attendees at the webinar will learn:
• Development of the smart connected robot system
• The cobot intelligence that offers flexibility
• Configuration systems that train collaborative robots
• How cobots are getting networked
• The future of robot capabilities
