Automatic Fastener-Installation Press

The Pemserter's Series 3000 automatic fastener-installation press systemintroduces "green" technology by performing without hydraulics to install alltypes of self-clinching fasteners in thin-metal sheets. The custom-built, fullservo controlled, electro-mechanical actuator delivers measurable efficienciesand economies compared with conventional technologies. The Series 3000 presssystem is sealed and lubricated for life to eliminate environmental issues andminimize maintenance and associated costs. After initial PC setup, all runlogic is maintained in solid-state servo controller memory, which consumes lesspower than conventional systems. Multiple types of self-clinching fasteners canbe installed automatically without any need for tooling changeovers.

The dual axis actuator allows for ram speedoptimization, high pressing forces and reduced energy usage. A proprietaryclutch system provides energy-efficient transition between servo axes androller screw technology enables the press to carry larger loads at higherspeeds. Regenerative/dynamic braking captures inertial energy and applies it todeceleration for a reduction in external energy requirements.

The Series 3000 press is designedwith a 24 inch/61 cm throat depth, can realize a ram force up to 16,000 lbs/71.2kN and can be operated remotely through networking. The press is CE certifiedto comply with applicable European standards.
