Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum says that its collection of aviation posters among its 1,300 artifacts may be the largest publically held collection in the U.S.

The collection's posters focus primarily on advertising for aviation-related products and activities.

These relief halftone multicolor prints from 1943 are a series of posters of warplanes sponsored by Coca-Cola.

The museum's poster collection demonstrates the public's intense interest in flight during the years of its development.
