Positronic's highdensity rectangular line offers industrial performance and conformance toMIL-C-28748 and MIL-DTL-28748, with size 22 contacts in densitycontact configurations from 4 to 104 contacts.

Thehigh density rectangular line, composed of SGM, SGMC and SMPL series, features PosiBandcontact technology. This design is more robust than legacy split tine femalecontacts, which can be pried open resulting in reduced normal force anddegradation of electrical performance. The PosiBand is a closed entry femalecontact system which, in these series, provides a low contact resistance of0.004 ohms, while offering higher current ratings (12A, 2 contacts energized; and5A, 104 contacts energized). Crimp termination contacts require no annealing ofthe crimp barrels, eliminating the concern of unintentionally heat-treating themating end, which can cause electrical failure. This contact design hasreceived SAE AS39029 qualification.

Terminationoptions include removable crimp and solder cup, as well as straight, rightangle and press-fit PCB terminations. Rectangular connectors can also besupplied with thermocouple contacts. Availablehardware types include: jackscrews, quick disconnect locking device, polarizingguides, cable adapters and panel mounting options. These options allow for bothkeying and polarizing connector systems.
