Linear measuring system 1043

MONORAIL AMS integrated linear measuring system combines guidance and measurement into one unit. The AMS is operated with the SME100 interpolation electronics unit and offers resolution of 1 (mu)m. Standard accuracy grade is 5 (mu)m per meter with typical repeatability of plus or minus 1 mm. The AMS scan head glides on the magnetic scale, and the solid-state scanning element--housed inside a single piece of rugged titanium--generates two sinusoidal signals, phase-shifted by 90-degrees, and a separate reference signal. These signals are available either as 7-16 microamp current outputs or 1V p-p.
