Asynchronously-Triggered Four-Camera Embedded Vision System

PPT Vision'sImpact M-Series Embedded Vision System allows users to perform up to fourunique inspections that can be initiated independently-at different times orsimultaneously-utilizing a single vision processor.

Unlike other smart cameras, no PC is required for configuring andoperating the Impact M-Series Embedded Vision System. The M-Seriesembedded M40 processor eliminates the need for a separate computer forprogramming and operation. The M40 Processor utilizes PPT Vision's universal Impactsoftware, which works with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system andfeatures direct connections to a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The M40 Processorutilizes the Windows XP operating system to simply transmit data and images, connectingdirectly to databases, SCADA systems and other business system software.

M-Series embedded vision processor's proficiencies are useful in manufacturingindustries such as electronics, pharmaceutical, medical devices, consumerproducts and automotive. The M-Series embedded vision processor is a useful solutionfor inspecting dimensions, coplanarity, positioning and identificationmarkings-both human readable text labels and barcodes. M-Series visionsystems can be used for differentiating parts, locating defects and detectingflaws on 4 sides of a part. Typical applications include inspectingelectronic connectors, correct part seating during die stamping, and detectionof fill level and cap position on bottles.
