Expanding Radio's Reach

Internet radio offers an enormous range of stations, but connectivity is often limited to rooms that have a computer. Sanyo's Internet Radio R227 solves that problem, using either Wi-Fi or Ethernet connections to augment conventional FM broadcasts. The clock radio offers eight presets for Internet stations along with eight FM settings. Internet streaming also eliminates issues caused in fringe areas with weak signals. Audio files on the network can also be played through the radio, which lists for $169.99. The clock-setting hassle that occurs at least twice a year is eliminated by settings delivered over the network.
