Bi-metal bearing

The SEALMASTER CRX-343 bearing insert is suitable for applications where bearings are exposed to corrosive materials and high-pressure wash down.

The engineering arsenal for improving the corrosion resistance of mounted bearings includes coatings, which wear, and stainless steel. The problem is that bearing races must be hardened, which compromises corrosion resistance.

The patented CRX-33 bearing insert combines the hardenability and load carrying capacity of 440C stainless steel with the corrosion resistance of 300 stainless steel. All exposed surfaces of the bearing are 316 stainless steel, while the ball paths of the bearing races are 440C stainless steel. The bearing also includes 440C stainless steel balls, a brass land-riding retainer, a synthetic food-grade lubricant, and a new high performance seal.
