MapleSim Insight is a new software product from Maplesoft that offers machine builders simulation-based debugging and 3-D visualization capabilities to directly connect to automation tools. As a result, engineers can perform simulation-based testing of their controller easily and efficiently.
Maplesoft noted that simulation-based testing of machine control strategies is a key element of virtual prototyping and using digital twins for virtual commissioning. However, this step can be cumbersome, as many automation tools provide limited options for machine-level, simulation-based controller testing, and these options often require moving development to an entirely new platform. NORD’s Hollow Socket Shaft Design Was Created to Eliminate Need for Problematic Couplings
NORD Drivesystems has released a hollow socket shaft design for coupling-free installations. The shaft design is for NORDBLOC.1 single-reduction gear units. The design mounts directly to a pump without the need for couplings. The goal was to significantly reduce installation time and maintenance, while extending the operating life of the unit.
NORD noted that couplings are a common failure point within drive systems. Keeping shafts aligned eliminates vibrations and prevents additional load and wear-and-tear on drive units. Technicians are required to adjust and shim, sometimes for hours, to get as close to perfect alignment as possible, knowing that even the slightest misalignment will shorten the lifecycle of the gear unit. The NORD socket shaft design was created to alleviate this.

Gogoro Has Introduced the Ultralight Eeyo 1 e-Bike in the United States
The ultralight Eeyo 1s integrates the Eeyo Smartwheel, and it’s half the weight of typical e-bikes.
