Agilent Technologies Inc.'s U4154A AXIe-based logic analyzer module has a capture speed of 4 Gbyte/s on68 channels and 2.5 Gbyte/s on 136 channels with the ability to capture data oneye openings 100 ps by 100 mV. The logic analyzer module, associated probes andanalysis software provide DDR (double data rate) memory systems, high-speedapplication-specific integrated chips, analog-to-digital converters andfield-programmable gate arrays operating at speeds up to 4 Gb/s.

Timing zoom provides simultaneous state and timingmeasurements with 80 ps timing resolution and 256 K-sample memory depth forinsight into problems by allowing simultaneous state and high-resolution timingmeasurements over a 20-us time span. The sequencer speed (2.5 Gb/s) givesengineers the ability to trigger reliably on sequential events on DDR memoryand other high-speed signals without having to give up triggering flexibility. The eye-scan capability of the U4154A allows a quick overview ofsignal integrity on all signals of a DDR system in a fraction of the time ittakes using alternative methods.

The U4154A logic analyzer module is compatible withAgilent's M9502A two-slot AXIe chassis. Multiple modules can be combined on asingle time base and trigger sequencer. Multiple modular systems, includingAgilent 16900 series frames, can be combined for time-correlated measurementson multiple buses in a system.
