Software Toolbox Enhances Connectivity Software

Software Toolbox's TOP Server Version 5.5 is an OPC and native HMIdevice connectivity software application. Powered by Kepware, Top Server5.5 delivers enhancements to the main server and more than 20 drivers andplug-ins.TOPServer 5.5 extends DNP WITS functionality with the implementation of Phase IIsupport. WITS Phase II adds support for writing to DNP Object Groups 0and 87 in keeping with the DNP WITS Standard. The 5.5 release also includes theaddition of a new SNMP Agent Plug-In which enables TOP Server to emulate anSNMP device on an Ethernet network. The SNMP Agent Plug-In supports SNMPversion 1 and 2C as well as the UDP protocol.

The software's new PingItFirstutility ensures continuous connectivity to Ethernet-based devices and enhancesthe ability to troubleshoot connectivity issues. PingItFirst expands thecapabilities of users to more effectively troubleshoot communications issuesand more easily identify potential problem areas so they can be resolved in atimely fashion.WithTOP Server 5.5, Software Toolbox maintains its modem support and tag creationenhancements. The built-in modem functionality for serial drivers has beenenhanced to support auto-dialing and improved phone number management. Inaddition, a new multiple tag generation tool has been added to help usersquickly create large numbers of tags in the server database.

Additional improvements in TOPServer Version 5.5 include:

  • OPCUA Interface-Fixes and enhancements includingsupport for two-dimensional arrays.

  • SNMP Driver - Support for SNMP V3 includingSNMP V3 Security


Other Driver Updates - Expandedfunctionality and improvements made to the Allen-BradleyControlLogix Ethernet, DNP, HoneywellUDC Serial, Modbus Suite, SiemensSuite,SNMP, UCON, and Yokogawa
drivers.
