Solenoid valves

Application flexibility

Offering a high 0.8 Cv flow rate in a 22-mm body are the 318/418 Series direct-acting solenoid valves. The 318 are multi-purpose, 2-position, 3-way valves, while the 418 are multi-purpose, five-ported, 4-way valves. Both can be mounted in either NO or NC position on the company's high density, low profile manifold, or in any configuration on the 418, 3-gallery manifold. GRAPHALLOY

Lower friction, environmentally friendly

The Tin Babbitt GRAPHALLOY(R) is reportedly environmentally friendly, making it usable for potable water and food applications. It is designed to handle 300F operating temperatures and requires no oil or grease to maintain. It is also designed to be corrosion resistant in most liquids (including acids), and is available in standard pillow block and flange block assemblies. Suitable pumping applications include water, hydrocarbons, gasoline, jet fuels, pharmaceuticals, solvents, and bleaches. Graphite Metallizing Corp.http://rbi.ims.ca/3843-613

Flow-Control Valve

Liquid handling applications

With customizable valves to meet specific flow requirements, the Dual Metering Flow Control Valves are designed for unique liquid handling applications. The product enables designers to specify different metered flow rates for the forward and reverse flow directions within a specific range. They are available in 0.187 and 0.281 diameter models, weighing 1.5 and 5 grams respectively. The metal components of the products are reportedly constructed entirely of stainless steel. Fluid power catalog

Specifications and technical drawings

The 400 page catalog is reportedly the industry's most complete miniature fluid power catalog. With features, specifications, color photographs, and technical drawings for the company's line of over 5,000 standard products, the catalog divides products into categories, including cylinders, control valves, electronic valves, modular valves (and subplates), fittings, and hose. Cassette seals

Saves costs, simple resealing

Stan-Cor Series pumps are now available with Streamline(TM) cassette seals. The seals have a cassette-within-a-cassette design, causing resealing to be reportedly as easy as installing a new cassette. The pumps are non-metallic, centrifugal pumps that are designed for pumping dirty, abrasive, corrosive, and reclaim process fluids. A total dynamic head to 350 ft is provided, and flow rates reach 700 gpm. Wanner Engineeringhttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-616

Seal material

Has softer properties

The Parofluor ULTRA(R) FF354-65 is a low-closure force seal material designed for high purity and high temperature sealing applications. A white, ultra-high purity perfluorinated elastomer (FFKM), the product has a low 65 durometer and can be formed into O-rings, molded shapes, and other sealing configurations. It is reportedly formulated to resist a wide range of chemicals. Parker Hannifinhttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-617

"Solid Gold" catalog

Online CAD support system

A new, free service called "solid gold" is available to users of the Lee Spring online catalog that allows users to view and manipulate images of their 8000+ springs and download 2D or 3D CAD models. Since images can be viewed as jpg or tif files, non-CAD and Solidworks users will also find the program useful. The user-friendly search engine makes selection as easy as click, view, and download. Miniature gas vacuum pumps

Simple, reliable design

At a cost of $20 in OEM quantities, the KPV Series incorporates two mini-bellows that are operated by a rocker arm attached to an eccentric on a motor shaft. They are available in two models: the KPV-14A features a maximum flow rate of 0.40 l/min, while the KPV-20B features a maximum flow rate of 1.0 l/min. Both measure 37 l x 55 mm and are suitable for air and gas sampling, along with a variety of OEM medical and analytical applications. Clark Solutionshttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-619

Rotary vane pumps

Compact size, low energy use

The TMFR Series pumps feature flow rates up to 150 gph at pressures up to 230 psi. With reported low energy consumption, the pumps keep sizes small by integrating the pump's magnetic drive with the pump motor, which also results in fewer moving parts. The pumps are available in five models with brass or AISI stainless steel pump housings. Four speed selections provide flow rates from 20 to 150 gph. They are ideal for a variety of applications, including welding machine-cooling loops, reverse osmosis systems, and beverage vending machines. Clark Solutionshttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-620

Proportional solenoid valve

Hard seats for repeatable characteristics

The single-stage direct-acting valve provides a flow rate that is linearly proportional to the input current. With a maximum air flow capacity of 120 slpm, it features an inlet pressure of 25 psig and requires approximately 5W of power. The valve's design incorporates an armature suspension feature, which is designed to eliminate friction, make the valve reliable, and exhibit very low hysteresis. The coil comes in 5, 12, and 24V dc versions. South Bend Controlshttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-621

Inert diaphragm valve

Fluid path isolated from solenoid

The solenoid-operated diaphragm isolation valve is made for use with corrosive or high-purity fluids (commonly found in the medical equipment, water purification, and clinical chemistry industries). With a valve life of over 40 million cycles, according to the company, it is rated for 40 psi with a Cv of 0.22. It is available in 2- and 3-way versions with .25-inch barbed and 5/16-inch push-to-connect ports. South Bend Controlshttp://rbi.ims.ca/3843-622

Toggle valve

Flexibility in adjusting flow controls

The "fill and bleed" FBV-3 toggle valve features two popper valves that are connected to a single outlet. Flexibility is offered when pressurizing and de-pressurizing is done simply by changing toggle positions. Two built-in needle valves provide the speed control required for extend and retract applications. Non-adjustable models are also available and all are reportedly easy to install.
