Endevco Piezoelectric Accelerometer

MeggittSensing Systems' Endevco model 7240C is a miniaturepiezoelectric accelerometer with low bandwidth flat to 30 kHz was designed forgeneral purpose high-frequency vibration measurements.

Endevco model 7240Coffers low base strain sensitivity with a total package weight of 4.8 gm,eliminating mass loading concerns. The unit is hermetically sealed to preventagainst environmental contamination and is a self-generating device whichrequires no external power source for operation.

Signal ground of the Endevcomodel 7240C is connected to the outer case of the unit. When used with one ofthe supplied isolated mounting studs, the accelerometer is electricallyisolated from the ground. A specially designed low-noise coaxial cable is alsosupplied for error-free operation. The sensor is for use within a varietyof automotive, aerospace, commercial aviation, general laboratory testing andstructural monitoring applications.
