Dr. Urs Kafader works and lives in Sarnen, Switzerland. He has a physics degree and an MBA from the Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich, and a doctorate from the UHA Mulhouse in France. He started his career at the ETH Solid State Physics Department working on the epitaxy of semiconductor heterostructures and also attended lectures on general didactics and specialized training for technology education. For more than 15 years, Dr. Kafader has been responsible for technical training at maxon motor. In this function, he has presented many training courses and seminars for the maxon staff and customers. He also wrote a textbook titled The Selection of High-Precision Microdrives.
