How far can $6 million take you? The latest answer might be as far as the moon. Newly open for bidding on eBay is the "Moon Crash Project" from Orbital Development (http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-566), which asks for at least $6 million to launch a spacecraft that'll carry 22 lbs (10 kg) of personal cargo to be smashed into the lunar terrain. Gregory Nemitz, President of Orbital Development, told CNN that the project might be "attractive to some bored rich guy who's tired of playing with his radio-controlled model airplanes and wants to move up to the next level." In addition, the company would return digital photos of the lunar journey and the impact as part of the project.
