Fractional and integral horsepower worm-gear speed reducers are complementary to ac and dc motors, sub-fractional horsepower gearmotors, and ac and dc adjustable-speed drives. By combining reducers with ac or dc motors, a pre-engineered gearmotor package is available off-the-shelf.
