This wireless display greets and provides directions to convention goers or point-of-purchase information to shoppers. The touch-screen display allows personalized assistance. An embedded computer from Applied Data Systems (ADS) helped get the RoninCast to market smoothly. ADS' Advanced Graphics Client receives multi-media content from a back-end server over an IEEE 802.11b wireless LAN. The embedded computer uses Intel's RISC-based PXA255 processor operating at 400 MHz and a graphics accelerator to deliver video to an LCD or plasma display.
