Detectors

Bero IP 68+, rugged detector, is tailored to applications in harsh industrial environments and can withstand a pressure of up to 0.8 bar. In addition to the plastic housing available, there is an optional metal enclosure in standard versions M12, M18, and M30 (metric threads in millimeters). It is reported to operate under water, or in contact with cleaning emulsions or lubricating oils. Sensing distances range from 0.6 to 15 mm.

Transmitting thermometer

The Twin-Temp Thermometer offers the convenience of using only one access point for both local and remote temperature readings. It combines the self-powered actuation of a bimetal thermometer with the digital accuracy and data acquisition capabilities of a thermocouple or RTD. It is available in 3- and 5-inch back connected and adjustable angle configuration, 1/4-inch stem diameter, 2 1/2- to 48-inch stem lengths, in F, C, and dual scale ranges from -40 to 500F.

Load cells

This LPU Series of low-profile, universal tension or compression "pancake" type load cells is available in 14 ranges from 100 through 50,000 lbs. Hold down bolt holes are provided through the outer diameter and a threaded hole is provided through the center for pushing or pulling from either end. Made from 17-4 ph heat-treated stainless steel, they are sealed for protection against most industrial environments.

Proximity sensing

SUPERPROX(R)30-mm ultrasonic sensors are designed with stainless-steel housings and stainless steel-faced transducers to provide proximity sensing in severe, corrosive-type environments. They are intended for a range of On/Off detection applications involving many corrosive chemicals and chemical-based materials including ammonia hydroxide, carbonated beverages, detergents, inks, gasoline, mercury, phosphoric acid, tannic acid, tomato juice, and vinegar.

Position detection

These surface-mount 2D position-sensitive detectors (PSDs), S5990-01 and S5991-01, are designed to provide detection characteristics over a large active area. Their pincushion-type detectors are suggested for use in pointing devices such as computer mice and track balls, as well as for position measurement. The active area is 4x4 mm and 9x9 mm, respectively. Both come in thin chip carrier packages for surface mounting and are automatically mounted with solder reflow.
