Test and measurement

The R-Series of mass flowmeters by Micro Motion measures mass rather than volume, and thus has reduced sensitivity to changes in fluid parameters, such as density. No special piping is required for installation, reducing downtime and making them attractive as replacements for orifice-plate flowmeters when mass measurement is desired.

Fluke Corp. has introduced warranted procedures for its MET/CAL(R)Plus software. The company warrants the procedures to produce valid calibrations on the intended units under test for the specific model and revision level. Once installed, these turnkey procedures automate calibration. In many instances, multiple procedures are provided for the "verification only" mode as well as the "adjustment" procedure mode.

Agilent's VEE OneLab is a graphical PC programming environment for standalone R & D applications, which incorporates The MathWorks MATLAB Script and MATLAB Signal Processing Toolbox features. VEE OneLab is for engineers creating measurement programs to collect data from PC-based hardware, and can handle upwards of four instruments. It is geared for design characterization and verification, data acquisition, and single-test-stand applications.

EL-410S and EL-4100S precision balances from Setra Systems use the company's patented variable-capacitance technology. The EL-410S is a three-place balance with 410g capacity, and the EL-4100S is a two-place unit with a capacity of 4,100g. Features include an RS-232 data port, die-cast aluminum housing, and chemically resistant keypad.
