IP69-Rated Inductive Sensors

Baumer's IWRR/IFRR Inductive Sensors are forobject detection and distance measurement up to 12 mm. Designed for outdoorapplications exposed to harsh environments the IP67 and IP69-rated sensors arecompletely sealed against moisture and contaminants to withstand temperatureranges from -40 to +80C.

Available indigital and analog versions, IWRR and IFRR inductive sensors are for use inhighly-demanding environments that involve changing temperature conditions. Dueto their impermeability, these low-maintenance sensors have an expected MTTFgreater than 100 years. As the sensors resist long-term exposure to salt water, oils and aggressive detergents, they are suited to the demands of on- andoff-shore wind turbines. The sensors are available with IP69-rated V4Astainless steel housings for strenuous offshore environments or IP67-ratednickel-plated brass housings for onshore applications. Digital inductivesensors are mainly used to detect nacelle position and rotor speed. Measuringsensors are applied for brake monitoring and shaft deflection.

IWRR andIFRR Inductive Sensors are useful in applications such as heavy vehiclesincluding refuse collection and forestry machines, solar wafer manufacturing, the rail industry, and applications exposed to challenging outdoor environmentswith high and low ambient temperatures.
