This video demonstrates the palletizing cell created for the Nestlé chocolate plant in Caçapava, Brazil. Nestlé partnered with ABB Robotics to design and install the small-footprint cell, which uses a large-scale industrial ABB IRB660 robot. The robot’s suction gripper head moves boxes to the pallet, working quickly and ensuring balanced loads. The solution has improved the plant’s pallet loading productivity by 53% and has reduced maintenance costs and rework. The robot uses ABB’s SafeMove2 technology to protect workers when they’re near the robot.
