Robots Extend Their Reach at IME West

Robotics grabbed attention at the show, which featured ATX West, D&M West, MD&M West, and more February 7-9.

Robots certainly made an impact at IME West February 7-9 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Not only were attendees inspired to consider career opportunities in robotics during the session, “The Changing Path: Women’s Perspective on the Future of Robotics,” robots captivated visitors on the show floor.

The crowd was cheering on the robots at Battle of the Brick Bots: A Brick Building Competition, hosted by master builder Bryan Firks at Design Alley and featuring LEGO Technic and LEGO Powered Up motors. Prizes were given for aesthetics, use of motion, and surviving the battle. Check out this clash between Spark Bot and Total Edge:

On the show floor, Aaron Donlon, project manager from Epson America, demonstrated the latest in high-power density SCARA robots.
