The robots Amazon uses in its fulfillment centers, featured in this video, include squat mobile robots that carry towering product shelves — weighing hundreds of kilograms — to human pickers, saving those workers from dashing around the warehouse. Also featured are (1) a robotic arm that can lift 1,200 kilograms and manipulate pallet loads to within one-tenth of a millimeter, and (2) labeling robots (known as “slam machines”) that can label up to one package per second.
