Tru-Torq(TM) permanent-magnet dc motors are available in sub-fractional horsepower sizes for custom applications, available in SCR-rated and low-voltage designs, and are offered in 2.25-, 2.5-, and 3.13-inch barrel diameters. Sleeve bearings and internal brushes are standard; ball bearings and cartridge-type brush holders are available as options. Zinc-alloy endplates and zinc-plated steel frames provide corrosion resistance. Special shafts, custom mounting configurations, custom gearheads, metric through-bolts and shafts, custom paint, vented housings, and dynamic balancing are among common mechanical modifications.
