TURCKannounces that the KA.25bler by TURCK 2430 shaft and 2440 hollow shaft miniature encoders are now available inabsolute versions. The encoders boast a 24-mm diameter housing that makes themideal for space-restricted areas, with a non-contact design that minimizes wear- delivering exceptional ruggedness in a compact package.

Ratherthan determining encoder position based upon the home position, as incrementalvarieties do, 2430 and 2440 absolute encoders assign a unique output for eachposition. With this design, the encoders retain specific position data, even ifequipment power is turned off.

All2430 and 2440 miniature encoders deliver a maximum speed rating of 12,000 RPM,plus an extensive temperature range of -20 to 85C to suit diverse plantenvironments. With radial and axial cable outlet options, these compactencoders demonstrate even further applicability in tight spaces.
