Real-Time Visual Ergonomics Application

OPTIS' real-time Visual Ergonomics (RTVE) application enhances its industrystandard Visual Ergonomics solution. This software corrects reflection andvisibility problems early in a vehicle's design process. Using OPTIS's uniquephysics and physiology-based rendering SPEOS VE3 solution, customers are ableto analyze and measure both the ergonomic criteria and perceived quality of anyuser-machine interface. This solution helps designers to optimize and improveany form of driver or operator position, or aircraft cockpit, by choosingbetter materials, illuminate buttons and displays to cope with theenvironmental light conditions during the drive, flight or operation of amachine. This software solution is used throughout the design process to studythe vision and visibility for different driver positions depending on size andseating configuration, helping to avoid potentially dangerous reflections forthe driver.

OPTIS's RTVE application allows the user to visualize the completeworkspace / cockpit interactively and simultaneously, moving in real-time fromany point of view. This allows a designer to detect then isolate problem areassuch as distracting reflections, sun glare and other visual problems in thecockpit. This solution allows the designer to consider all points of view inseconds before analyzing selected points of interest in the SPEOS VE3 solution.
