They feature pump heads with seal-less PTFE sandwich diaphragms that reportedly provide plus or minus 0.5-percent accuracy and >99.97 percent repeatability to assure continuous mixing of color and flavor concentrates. They are capable of being configured to handle up to 20 ingredients in a recipe. American LEWA Inc. http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-587

Check valves

Barbed and threaded

The company has released information about three of their lines of check valves: barbed check valves, threaded check valves, and duckbill check valves. The barbed check valves are manufactured with a polished barb, molded without a parting line to ensure a leak-proof seal. The threaded check valves reportedly replace one of the barbs with a 1/8-27 NPT fitting on the entrance side for use with threaded ports. The duckbill check valves are designed to have the same polished barb with a silicone duckbill valve. All are manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility, according to the company. Solenoid valves

Multipurpose, multiple sizes

The company's 300 series direct-acting solenoid valves are designed to be multipurpose 3-way valves. Available in a variety of sizes, the products feature a short-stroke balanced poppet design that reportedly permits rapid cycling, requires no lubrication, and is more tolerant of impurities in the air system, ensuring positive cycling. The valves come with a variety of options that vary by series, including mounting styles, voltages, surge suppressors, and covers for fluid applications or harsh environments. Cylinders

Stainless steel

Manufactured from 300 or 316 series stainless steel, the company's line of cylinders are designed for food processing and pharmaceutical applications. The all-threaded construction products are reportedly fully repairable, and their crevice-free design enables wash downs and clean up. They are available in 11/8-, 1 .50-, and 2-inch bore sizes, and have a variety of standard mounting options. Allenair Corporationhttp://rbi.ims.ca/3850-590

Check valve

Tight seal, corrosion resistant

The CKS series of self-sealing thermoplastic check valves are engineered for corrosive and ultra-pure liquids. They are designed to safeguard process systems by maintaining a positive closure. Offered in 1.50-, 2-, and 3-inch pipe sizes, the product uses a spring encapsulated with Teflon(R) PFA to protect liquids from contamination. This encapsulation is an advantage over coated springs, which tend to flake and corrode over time, according to the company. Plast-O-Matic Valves Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-591

Rotary hand valves

Durable

The company's variety of rotary hand valves are designed for use in heavy industrial applications. They are engineered from die cast aluminum and are reportedly proven to be very durable in applications that feature harsh operating conditions. Valves feature an easy-to-grasp-and-rotate handle, and they have a detented center position. They are suitable for use in compressed air environments and feature a maximum operating pressure of 140 psi. IMI Norgren Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-592

Butterfly valve

For harsh conditions

Created especially for low pressure, high heat, and highly abrasive applications where immediate and bubble tight shutoff isn't required, the Fly Ash series of butterfly valves is available in 4- to 12-inch sizes and reportedly maintains a median gap of 0.010 inches between the valve disk/stem and bore. They are intended for fly ash collection systems in which the highly abrasive nature and high temperature of the media renders standard resilient seated butterfly valves useless. Ultraflo Corporationhttp://rbi.ims.ca/3850-593

Media containment unit

Reduces fugitive emissions

Created as an accessory to the company's ball valves, the Media Containment Unit reportedly provides a secondary seal that can be monitored for early detection of stem leaks. The investment cast stainless steel unit is highly corrosion-resistant and well suited for harsh environments. The company claims that it is easy to install in the field onto the company's existing .25- to 10-inch ball valves. It also reportedly lowers operating costs by reducing lost production time because of fugitive emissions and unscheduled maintenance. Flow-Tekhttp://rbi.ims.ca/3850-594

Air filter

Dual-stage compression

The BA-series of dual-stage compressed air filters are engineered as point-of-use breathing air filters. They are suited for aircraft cabin air, food processing/packaging, and can reportedly be used as a prefilter for such critical needs as zero air generators, membrane filters, and instrument air dryers. Each housing is designed with two elements inside: a coalescer and an absorber. The products are offered in .75- and 1-inch NPT connector sizes with a maximum pressure of 500 psig. Pump

Greater versatility, less maintenance

The company's 1,000 pump is designed to offer greater versatility and performance advantages over other types of positive displacement pumps, such as gear, lobe, peristaltic, and air-operated diaphragms. It is engineered for trouble-free operation in a range of services, including shear-sensitive chemical feeds, adhesives, lime, slurries, and viscous crude oil transfer. The pin-type universal joint is sealed and lubricated, providingreportedly long life and minimum maintenance. Moyno Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-596

Immersible pump

All-plastic, sealless design

Created as an all-plastic, vertical, immersible pump, the SS8 features a special teardrop-locking design that reportedly enables the system operator to quickly remove just the pump core for service while the pump body stays connected to the piping system. It is useful for a variety of applications, including aeration, filtration, agitation, and recirculation spraying and transfer in the plating, electronics, water treatment, pollution control, and chemical processing industries. The product features a sealless design that may eliminate leaking and seal replacements. Hayward Industrial Products Inc.http://rbi.ims.ca/3850-597

Air-piloted valves
