Canary Labs' Canary Smart Meter Solution stores smart meter data viapatent-pending Canary Enterprise Historian technology. A time series databaseis designed to store and retrieve data. For instance, data from 650,000 smartmeters that report usage every 15 mins would utilize 11 GByte of disk spaceeach month-which is 1/10th the amount of disk space required by traditional SQLdatabases. Logging and data performance provided by the Canary Smart MeterSolution provides a customizable data management solution with long term datamanagement capabilities. Data can be used to generate reports, as well as webpages that provide information to consumers.
