Solar control glass

Solar E Glass offers the architectural and residential markets a clear low-E glass that combines favorable solar control properties with excellent thermal (U-value) characteristics in a color-neutral, durable, pyrolytic glass. Previously, the solar control and thermal qualities were only obtained with the use of a sputter-coated glass. Now, pyrolytic Solar E Glass can offer the same performance. The typical application for this material is in an IG unit. The right side of the photo shows the view through the E Glass, and while the left side shows the view without glass.

T2FTM film

Lexan(R)True-2-Form (T2F) film is designed to expand the capabilities of designers to create deeper and more consistent graphics on 3-dimensional thermoformed in-mold decorated (IMD) parts. In many applications, Lexan T2F can be vacuum formed to allow for deeper draws, without the typical graphics registration variation problems associated with vacuum forming. Applications include the appliance, automotive, and electronics industry.

TUFRAM 2000TM

The new TUFRAM 2000 coating provides a wide variety of special features to aluminum and aluminum alloy parts. This uniform surface enhancement may be applied in thicknesses of 0.0005 to 0.0007 inches with a buildup of 0.00025 to 0.00035 inches, making it ideal for close tolerance applications such as screw threads. Thickness is customized for each application. The coating reportedly provides the surface with superior resistance to corrosion as well as good wear resistance under adverse conditions. It is available in sealed or unsealed versions.

Water seal grommets

These molded seals exemplify the use of advanced thermoplastics to improve design and cost efficiency. Injection molded PES Polyethersulfone and overmolded with HNBR high-saturated nitrite rubber on the outer circumference, the grommets reportedly provide a leak-proof seal in the counter bore of diesel engine blocks. They prevent coolant from leaking out between the engine cylinder head and block. They replace corroded stainless steel grommets.

Cold blackening process

The Color Safe(R)blackening process produces a high quality, deep black finish at room temperature without the use of EPA regulated chemicals. It can be used on all non-stainless steel ferrous alloys including cast iron and tool steels, and can serve as direct replacement for the conventional hot oxide finish. The rinse waters can usually be sent through a city sewer without treatment.
