Lenovo's 2010ThinkPads are built from up to 30 percent post-consumer content and the companyis using water jugs and used IT equipment to manufacture its LCD covers, palmrests and cases. Lenovo notes it has used 42 million gross pounds ofpost-consumer content in its Think products since 2005.

As part of the company's lifecycle design process, the laptopsalso meet Energy Star 5.0 for high energy efficiency and are rated EPEAT Goldin the U.S. for their environmental attributes. The 2010 laptops are 40 percentmore energy efficient than previous Thinkpad laptops, and are shipped in100-percent recycled packaging that can be tossed into a recycling bin.
