Engineers like to be in control of things, and this week's suppliers want to help. Consider Beckhoff's XPlanar motion control tiles, which combine the individual arrangement of planar tiles with multi-dimensional positioning capability of the planar movers floating above them.

Or look at Seifert Systems' SlimLine Vario Series of enclosure air conditioners that can be adjusted and set to provide only the cooling needed for a particular application while maintaining a very uniform temperature level within the cabinet.

If you want to take control of your own temperature, check out Maxim's new health sensor that monitors blood oxygen, ECG, heart rate, body temperature, and activity data.
