Heavy Duty Subrack for High Shock and Vibration Applications

Verotec's KM6-HD subracksystem is designed for use in rail, military, aerospace and other harshenvironments where electronic equipment will be subject to shock and vibrationduring use. The ruggedized KM6-HD subrack system is designed to meet MIL-STD167, the US Department of Defense Test Method Standard. Manufactured in 3, 6and 9U heights, depths of 160, 220 and 400 mm and in 42HP half and 84HP fullwidths the IEEE 1101.10/11 compliant KM6-HD 19 inch subrack features positiveguide locking and retention, heavy-duty front and rear tie bar extrusions withtwo screw fixing, 3mm thick side plates and rack mounting angles and aconductive finish throughout. KM6-HD meets the requirements of VME64X, VPX,cPCI and similar open architecture specifications.

The 160mmplastic guides are suitable for 1.6mm PCBs and are retained front and rear witha screw fixing. The molded guides incorporate required features for IEEE1101.10systems including front panel coding, handle pre-location and ESD functionalityfor both front panel and PCB. 80mm guides are also available for reartransition applications. KM6-HD is fully compatible with KM6 subracks, enablinga single design to migrate from a standard subrack into the heavy duty versionwhen required for different applications.
