FANUC CNC Advanced CNC Control Innovations

FANUC CNC America unveils advanced CNC control innovations at IMTS 2010,Booth #S-8919. These include: new model 30i-B Series CNC Control, 0i-D/0i-DMateControl with newly enhanced functionality, new 35i-B CNC Control fortransferline machines, new 5-axis volumetric error compensation andcomprehensive industry solutions.

The new FANUC CNC 30i-B SeriesControl is an upgrade from the 30i-A Series. The 30i-B Series offers newlyenhanced features and functions with new advancements in operability andmaintainability including: USB memory port, enhancements in dual safety check,new punch press and laser functionality. For advanced machining with highaccuracy, the 30i-B boasts advancements in high speed 5-axis capabilities withproven architecture and software algorithms to drastically reduce cycle times whileimproving part accuracy and quality. For complex machining processes, this isthe ideal combination of reliability and high speed 5-axis features. The 30i-B also features "High Speed SmoothTCP", high speed - multi-path PMC, enhanced tilted working plane and high speedsmoothing functions, enhanced DSPs for advanced servo control such asmulti-axis control and high speed current control and arbitrary speedthreading. In addition, the 30i-B hasenhanced FSSB and network performance, enhanced diagnostic functions for MTTRreduction and enhanced DSP for advanced servo control.

The 0i-D/0i-D Mate Control offersnewly enhanced features and functionality that are powerful, yet costeffective. These include: nanointerpolation, Al contour II control, jerk control, tool management functionand grinding functions.

The new 35i-B Control, based onthe cutting edge 30i-B series, is for transferline machines. Ideal for simple high speed drilling andtransfer machining, the 35i-B is equipped with a touch screen machine operatorpanel and embedded Ethernet.
