Sensoray model2253 is a compact USB audio/video codec.The board's small size, 1.5x2.75 inch and low power consumption, 1.5 W, make ituseful for embedded applications. In the encoding mode model 2253 outputs an uncompressed low latencyvideo stream along with the compressed video stream to facilitate previewingand real time image processing functions. Up to 80 characters of overlay textmay be added to the video.
The board can also perform asa decoder, converting the compressed audio/video stream into standard analogvideo and audio signals, to be supported in SDK Release 2 -- please downloadhardware manual for list of currently supported features.
Model 2253 is powered through the USB port anddoes not require any additional power supplies.
Each unit has a unique serialnumber in its flash memory and on a bar coded label. The serial number can beread using the software API.
