Compact Absolute Encoders for CANopen Designed without Gears to Resist Magnetic Fields

TURCK introduced rugged F36 absolute encodersfor CANopen networks, the latest addition to the KA.25bler by TURCK F36 encoder series.

The F36 series is the first on the market to offer optical multiturn encoderswithout gears, making them completely insensitive to magnetic fields. Theencoders feature a hollow shaft diameter up to 10 mm, with the device itself measuringonly 36 mm in diameter. Despite this compact design, the F36 series is IP67rated and has a wide temperature range of -30 to 85C. Leveraging OptoASICtechnology, F36 encoders reach a high resolution of up to 16 bits for singleturn applications; multiturn versions deliver a resolution ofup to 32 bits.
