AVX Corp. Expands Its Stacked, Surface Mount Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors

AVX Corp. says it has expanded its stacked,surface mount multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) product offering to includethe highest capacitance for a given MLCC package. Designated the RH Series, therange extension features 50 and 100V devices with maximum capacitance values of33 and 22 uF respectively. The capacitor series provides over voltageprotection, improves ripple current capability and VC performance, whileoffering low ESR.

Featuring astress relieving lead frame, the RH Series is useful for applications requiringboard stress relief. Suitable formilitary and aerospace applications, the RH Series can be used as an input andoutput filter capacitor in high frequency dc-dc converter applications above10W, where high volume and low cost is required.

The RHSeries is available in RoHS and non-RoHS versions, and are sold intape-and-reel packaging or waffle trays.
