The Southeast US is about to get an advanced manufacturing show. Informa Markets has announced the launch of IM Engineering SouthThe goal is to unite engineers, designers, and decision-makers to solve today's challenges and move manufacturing forward. The all-new exhibition and conference is set to take place from June 14 through 16, 2022 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC and will alternate with IM Engineering East in New York City, which transitions to a biennial schedule in the new year.

The Southeast region of the U.S. was strategically chosen due to the market's density of manufacturing operations and the localized investment by manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, metal, forest products, logistics, and plastics sectors that are driving economic growth for the entire region. In addition, significant developments in biotechnology and life sciences in the region are driving the medtech industry in new directions.

As one of the nation's burgeoning advanced manufacturing hubs, North Carolina, in particular, is the United States' fifth largest manufacturing economy contributing $107.1 billion to the state's GDP, according to a recent report from Governor Roy Cooper. Continued education and industry connections in this region will further spur growth and contribute to the continued advancements of resources, research, and products that have a tremendous impact on the world.
